Completing the winterbreak wikipost assignment for full credit is over (thirty points) but if you would like to earn partial credit, you have until tomorrow to catch up.
You will earn ten points for posting your thesis and managing the responses. Also, post two replies to other people's thesis posts. This activity is a great way to gather feedback for your paper idea from like minds. I'll be checking in to help as well. I'll see you on the discussion board!
You can choose your own topic. Here are some of the topics we discussed in class:
1. What led up to the Sierra Leone war? Hint: it has a lot to do with the British colonization and how they left the country to govern themselves.
2. Should the US have gotten involved?
3. How does war affect the individual (use a specific collection of scenes and draw from pyschological research, or Maslow's hierarchy of needs, or even studies done on the damage done by solitary confinement.
I will grade your annotated purchased books for extra credit when you hand in the paper.
